At New Smyrna Beach, we gathered in a large room which was in the midst of renovations. No problem... we just added to the pounding, drilling, and sawing. Sponsored by Atlantic Center For The Arts, this was a large group of 22, which was split into Saturday and Sunday sessions. Large groups generate so much energy and we got our frames done in record time.

A beautiful pik, handcarved from Africa.

Even the husbands got involved.

this one shows the leno technique, a good way to add an airy laciness to the shawl

    When we started
to weave, it got very quiet. . .

after a few more hours at home,
it progresses quickly.

Our first group was held at EnVisions Shop
upstairs with an outside deck where we could do our sawing and drilling.

For our 2nd group, EnVisions offered another room, upstairs with a large open view of the atrium below.

This group tackled several oversize shawls.
